The graceful ship is a replica of the original fishing schooner that found fame winning the International Fishermen’s Race starting in 1921.  St. John’s Anglican Church: The second oldest Protestant church in Canada, was established in 1754. In 2001, it was partially destroyed in a Halloween night fire, but has been completely restored in years since. Lunenburg Farmers’ Market: It is a community tradition for the residents and visitors of Lunenburg. Our market runs every Thursday morning, year-round. From September to May you will find us at the Lunenburg Community Centre. In May we move to the Lunenburg Arena when our market doubles in size for the spring and summer months. The farmers’ market offers a fabulous selection of local products, art and craft.

A piece of the Berlin Wall in Lunenburg! James J Kinley brought a section of the Berlin Wall to Lunenburg in the late nineties and put it on display to honour the towns ties with Germany as 1,400 German immigrants established the community of Lunenburg in 1753. The wall section is on display in front of the Lunenburg Legion.
